Holly Barker-Flynn is a 21-year resident in the district and lives in Malta with her husband Shaun and son Collin, who is a freshman in Ballston Spa High School and Early College High School. Her educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Education, School Counseling Concentration from SUNY Oneonta, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Elmira College. She is currently serving as the Director of the Welcome Experience at the University at Albany. Her school/community involvement includes serving as the current Chair of the Ballston Spa Education Foundation and as a Board member since 2018; as well as a Ballston Area Recreation Commission Board member from 2013-2019.

Position Statement:  I am running for the School Board to ensure a quality education for our children, fiscal responsibility for the District and strong collaboration between parents, teachers and community members. My family believes that serving our community is very important and a vital value to instill in our son. I have chosen to serve our community by supporting education and enrichment activities within Ballston Spa. My husband Shaun devotes his time to protecting our community and has been a member of the Round Lake Fire Department for 15 years and is currently the Training Captain. I will listen to community’s concerns and be an advocate for both students and teachers.
