Position Statement: I am running for the school board to make a difference in the lives of the students, teachers and staff of the school district. For students, I would focus on curriculum and activities that foster the creation of responsible and productive citizens. In addition to traditional academics and extra-curricular activities I believe a focus on mental health, substance abuse prevention education and financial literacy build protective factors that will serve students well beyond their academic career in the district.
For teachers and staff, I want the Ballston Spa Central School District to continue to be the “district of choice”, which attracts and retains the best educational professionals. Being a district of choice will also attract new residents to the District who are looking for an excellent and diverse educational experience. I believe in common sense decision making that takes all perspectives and stakeholders into account.
