    Parent Access to Math Curriculum

    Directions for Parent Access to Great Minds: The directions for guiding parents to access Great Minds and review their child’s math assessment have been updated and are shown below.  If you are unsure of which math curriculum your child is using, please contact your child’s teacher.

    Important Upcoming Dates

    • November 23 - 25: Thanksgiving Break

    • November 29 - December 2: Parent-Teacher Conferences

    High School Troupe Production this Weekend

    All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten performances will be in the Ballston Spa High School Auditorium at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 17, 18 and 19, 2022. There is also a matinee at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022. More info can be found on the website here

    Important Upcoming Dates

    • 11/10 - Emergency Early Release Day

      • Dismissal (Bus and pick-up) will occur 15 minutes earlier than normal.

      • Car pick-up will be 3 - 3:15 (compared to 3:15 - 3:30 normally)

      • Buses will load 3 - 3:15 and depart schools at 3:15 (compared to 3:30 normally).

    • 11/11 - Veterans Day, No School

    BSCSD Superintendent Search - Survey Request

    On Wednesday, October 26, an email from Board of Education President Jason Fernau was sent to all district stakeholders.  Please review that correspondence and complete the survey.  The survey will be open until November 9, 2022. 

    Scottie’s Closet at BSMS Saturday

    The 13th Annual Scottie's Closet is happening on Saturday, November 5th, from 9 am - 1 pm in the middle school cafeteria.  Please join us while you “shop” for free, gently used clothing, coats, and boots for your family!  Sizes infant-adult will be available, and there is no cost for items chosen.  From 8:30 am - 12:30 pm there will be a Community Resource Fair where several community agencies and organizations will share resources and information and will answer any questions you may have.  Volunteers are welcome for the event for sorting clothing and event set up and take down.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Christine Jones at cjones@bscsd.org.  

    Robot Rumble at BSHS Saturday
    FIRST Robotics teams from throughout the Capital Region, other areas of New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts will be convening at Ballston Spa High School on Saturday, November 5th for the 2022 Robot Rumble Off-Season Robotics Competition.   Anyone interested in learning more about the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics programs is invited to stop by to see the teams and robots in action.  The Robot Rumble will take place from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm on November 5th at the High School.  The event is free and open to the public.

District News - 2022 - 23

  • BSCSD Bus Shortages TODAY - 12.05.22

    The Lobster Bus #349 and the Dino Bus #377 are not available this morning or afternoon for High/Middle school students. The Deer Bus #348 is not available this morning or afternoon for High School/Middle School and Elementary School students. A second bus run will be added to transport elementary students on the bus.

  • Winter Concert Series - Starts TONIGHT!

    The Music Department is presenting several Winter Concerts during the upcoming weeks. The concerts are free and members of the community are welcome at all venues. Students and families are specifically invited and encouraged to attend and support the performing artists.

  • The BSEF Auction Annual Auction

    The Ballston Spa Education Foundation (BSEF) is hosting an online auction to raise funds to support enrichment grants for Ballston Spa Central School District educators to directly benefit our students. Please join in the fun and bid BIG to support our teachers and educators!

  • Ballston Spa Elks Receives District Recognition

    The Ballston Spa Central School District’s partnership program has once again received generous funding from the Ballston Spa Elks Lodge #2619 in support of the Scotties BackPack Program. They received recognition from the district during a recent Board of Education meeting.
