Educating Everyone Takes Everyone
The Ballston Spa Central School District is excited to welcome the class of 2034! To prepare for Kindergarten student registration this spring, a Kindergarten Parent Orientation night will be held on March 10, 2021 from 6:30-7:30pm. For everyone’s health and safety, this year’s orientation will be held virtually utilizing a video conference meeting format. Anyone with an incoming Kindergarten student who has not already contacted us is asked to call the Registration Office at (518) 602-0256. Registered students/parents will receive additional information about the meeting including the links to the presentation before March 10, 2021.
The next local community food distribution will be held on March 17, 2021 starting at 9:30am at the Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) at 990 State Route 67, Ballston Spa. All families/community members are invited to enter the parking lot and remain in their cars while volunteers load FREE food/supplies into their car. Thanks to the Regional Food Bank, an anticipated 18,000 pounds of food will be distributed at the event, including fresh produce, dairy, frozen meats and non-perishable food items. BSNB volunteers will welcome attendees and load boxes of food into each vehicle’s trunk. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Parents will receive food on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. All volunteers will follow CDC guidelines by wearing appropriate masks and gloves while actively practicing social distancing. Sponsored by the Regional Food Bank and Ballston Spa National Bank, the FREE food give away will start at 9:30am and continue while supplies last.
In order to keep our Ballston Spa schools safe during Covid-19, the District has chosen Pinpoint Health to use as our wellness screener. Parents will be receiving an email or text from Pinpoint Health on Thursday, September 24, 2020 with more information.
The USDA has made breakfast and lunch available at no cost to all students. Our food service continues to prepare FREE meals for all students in the district- for both in-school students and remote learners. Families of remote learners are able to pick up at Gordon Creek Elementary School twice a week.
