Educating Everyone Takes Everyone
Ballston Spa Elementary Students are Invited to Participate in the Elementary Science & Engineering Fair. Students present their findings for a science or engineering project they complete prior to the event.
John Gray local news anchor from Fox 23 and author of the children’s book Keller’s Heart visited MTE on February 3rd. John’s presentation included a reading of his book, the students took the Keller Pledge, and answered questions. Students had an opportunity to purchase the book Keller’s Heart prior to his presentation. Many thanks to John Gray for his visit!
Volunteers are needed to judge the Regional Odyssey of the Mind Creative Problem Solving Competition on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Queensbury Middle School. Our district will be represented by 7 teams of students from our schools at the annual OM event.
As temperatures continue to get colder please remember that students still go outside for recess. Please send them in with warm coats, hats and mittens. When the snow starts, students will only be able to play in the snow if they are wearing snow pants, snow boots and mittens; otherwise, they stay on the pavement to play. It is always helpful to have a spare change of clothes in the classroom and for shoes to change into after outside play. Note: It is very helpful for teachers and students if you put your student’s name inside their coats and hats, etc. There are many coats currently hanging in the lost and found with no way to identify who they belong to. If your child is in need of a coat, please contact Kristle Mathison email@example.com or Regina Murphy firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you and Happy Winter!
A districtwide Wellness Day focused on health and wellness will be held on April 4, 2020 from 9:00 am-12:30 pm at the BSMS/HS Complex. Everyone in the Ballston Spa school community is invited to join together for the 5th Annual Scotties Stampede 5k at 9:00 am at the district’s tennis courts on Garrett Road. The Wellness Expo will immediately follow, from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm in the High School cafeteria/gymnasium.
Students from Malta Avenue Elementary School had the opportunity to participate in a SPAC Dance Residency program again this year. For the first time, the students performed “Sensational Soul,” which featured music by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and many others.
