Congratulations to our Unified Bowling team for winning the Sectional Championship on Friday 3/8. 


Thursday 2/29 - Girls Lacrosse open gym is canceled tonight

State Championships  - 
Alpine Skiing 2/26 & 27 - Good Luck to Cole Evans as he represents the Scotties in this year's alpine skiing championships at Whiteface Mountain.

Wrestling 2/23 &  24 - This year Ralph Keeney, William O'Connor and Cole Donnelly will be representing Ballston Spa at the state wrestling championships at the MVP Arena. Good Luck and Go Scotties!

Indoor Track 3/2 - Five Scotties will be headed to Ocean Breeze for the Indoor Track Championships on March 2: Harriet Healey, Gabby Bozeth, Petrina Zborovszky, Devin Hemraj and Kala'i Makanani. Good Luck!

Swimming  3/1 & 3/2 - Ryan Otten will head to Ithaca College for the state swimming championships on March 1 & 2. Good Luck Ryan!     

Wednesday 2/21 - Boys Basketball Sectionals 7pm at Columbia

Saturday 2/17 - Hockey Sectionals at home 7pm vs. Albany Academy

Friday 2/16 - Girls Basketball Sectionals at home 5:30pm vs Troy. 

Indoor Track State Qualifier - Five of our indoor track athletes qualified for the NYS tournament to be held March 2 -  

Harriet Healey finished 2nd in the 300m (41.76) and Gabby Bozeth placed 3rd in the 300m (42.13), both qualifying for the NYS Championship meet.
Kala’i Makanani finished 1st in the 300m (37.26) qualifying for the NYS Championship meet.
Devin Hemraj finished 2nd  in the 55m hurdles (8.02) qualifying for the NYS Championship meet.
Gabby Bozeth finished 1st the 55m (7.32), new pr and Petrina Zborovszky placed 2nd in 55m (7.41), both qualified for the NYS Championship meet.

Congratulations to Mia Collins - State Champion for Wrestling. Mia won the 132lb weight class at the NYSPHSAA girls' wrestling invitational on Friday 1/26.   
  

Sun. 2/11 - Suburban Council Cheer Championships at Shenendehowa tickets can be purchased on GoFan - Admission is $8.00 -  GoFan

Evening lap swim will return on Monday, February 5th. Lap swim will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-8pm (when school is in session). Fee is $1.00 for residents and $2.00 for non-residents.  

Open Gym Schedule – Spring Sports - Open gyms for spring sports will start on Tuesday, January 2 and are open to students in grades 7-12.  All open gyms are held the Wood Road/Milton Terrace Gyms.

Mondays – Softball 7-8pm
Tuesdays – Boys Lacrosse 8:15-9:15pm
Wednesdays – Baseball 8:15-9:15pm
Thursdays – Girls Lacrosse 8:15-9:15pm

Open gyms will start on Tuesday, January 2 and run through Thursday, March 7. If school is not in session (February break, snow days, etc…) there are no open gyms.  

Girls Varsity Swim -  Congratulations to Sarah Blaum who will be competing in the NYS Swimming State Championships Nov. 17-18 in Webster, NY.  Sarah won the 50 free and 100 butterfly at sectionals on 11/4.

Admission to Ballston Spa regular season home Varsity Football, JV/Varsity Boys Basketball and JV/Varsity Wrestling is $1.00 for students/seniors and $2.00 for adults. Exact change is appreciated (debit/credit cards not accepted).  *Pricing does not include tournaments, post-season play, or special events
