    If students need assistance at any time with their high school class, they should email their advisor.


    This course uses the online platform Canvas for assignments and activities. Links below can also be accessed via the Clean Tech website. https://www.bscsd.org/Domain/831

    Each student has a username and password for this website. They have the same log on for their BSCSD Google Drive and Canvas.
    Assignment grades can be accessed through the Canvas account.
    Interims will be mailed to you and quarter grades will be sent to home schools for student report cards.

    Technology Trouble Shooting:

    • Step 1:  Restart the chromebook
    • Step 2:  Sync the web filter, by going to the icon in the top right that looks like a splash of paint.  Choose barracuda and hit sync.  Then refresh the page once it says the sync is completed.  If it says sync failed, refresh the page and try again.
    • Step 3:  If still not working, email asnow@bscsd.org with a picture of the issue.

     
    Field Trips to TEC-SMART  (weather permitting)
    If Ballston Spa CSD has a 2 hour delay or is closed, the visit will be rescheduled.

    10th Grade Visit Dates (7:50 AM-10:50 AM) –
    September 14th, October 13th, November 8th *, December 18th, January 17th, February 13th, March 28th, April 22nd, and May 22nd*

    What to Bring to Visits:

    • Charged Chrome Book
    • Snack
    • Students should bring a lunch with them if they are missing lunch at their home school.

    Please check with your home school regarding transportation for the visits.


    *Student Project Exhibitions at TEC-SMART 11/8 and 5/22 - Open to families, school administrators, and business partners.


    HVCC Courses-Distance Learning (Online)

    • College Forum- Fall 1.0 HVCC college credit
    • Sociology –Spring 3.0 HVCC college credits

    This course is taught by HVCC faculty.

    • Each professor will provide a syllabus with assignments and due dates.
    • Many professors do not accept late work.
    • Students will be provided with contact information on how to obtain assistance from their professor.
       

    HVCC courses use Blackboard (learning management system) for online classes. https://bbprod.hvcc.edu/

    Students should have their HVCC username and password.   This will be used for connection to wifi on visits, as well as for HVCC college coursework during the sophomore through senior years. Please note: ECHS staff are unable to access them if lost or forgotten. Students should answer the security questions on WIReD in order to reset their password without having to go in person to the main campus.

    College midterm and final grades can be accessed through the HVCC WIRED account.
    Final grades will be at the end of each semester to home schools from HVCC.
    ECHS Staff do not have access to grades, other than during the reporting times of midterm and final grades.
    Students can access their progress in college course work by logging in to Blackboard and going to the grades tab.

    Resources & Support:

    • Canvas College Support page & Shared Google Folder to assist with assignments/information
    • HVCC Library- We recommend a trip on a Saturday if you need help with a major paper or presentation.
    • ECHS Staff- Email your advisor or Mrs. Snow for questions about the college coursework, time management, etc.  We will also conduct visits to home schools to assist you.
