  • Without strong partners in Business, Government and Academia sharing a common vision for supporting the leaders of the 21st Century workforce, this program would not be possible.

The Ballston Spa Central School District created the "Partnership for Innovation in Education" program to collaborate with higher education, business and industry and non-profit and government agencies to produce innovative educational experiences that reframe teaching and learning for the 21st Century. Preparing students for jobs in a world where new information and industries are growing exponentially requires educational experiences that provide new tools for teaching and learning that supports 21st Century Skills.

The Clean Technologies and Sustainable Industries Early College High School program is based on successful national STEM school models and was initially developed through a partnership with Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the Ballston Spa Central School District. Clean Energy, Community & Public Health, Engineering Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Hacking & Cybersecurity, Polysomnography and Surgical Technology are all critical economic and workforce issues for the greater Capital Region, New York State and the world.  This program opens doors for students to deeply experience these rapidly growing fields in our region and earn college credit towards these career pathways.
