PBIS and Character Education at MT

  • Milton Terrace Elementary utilizes PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) as our school-wide discipline program.  The philosophy behind the program is that through supporting positive student behavior, greater academic success is attained.  Therefore, students must first be taught behavioral expectations, and then are held accountable.  Common language, rewards, and consequences are realized from this consistent program.  Review of behavioral data allows us to understand where students are succeeding and which areas we need to reteach.  We ask that you support MTE’s PBIS program by reminding your child of our three rules:

    Be Safe

    Be Respectful

    Be Responsible

Students who follow our school rules are rewarded positively and are able to earn rewards such as:

    Scottie Bucks

School Store Items (Purchased with Scottie Bucks)

Scottie Buck Rewards (Lunch with a Teacher, Morning Announcements, etc.)

Scottie Pride Parties (Popcorn Parties, Dance Parties, & Class Buddy Parties)

At the bottom of this page, you will find a brochure with more information, as well as some of

the rewards your child can purchase with their Scottie Bucks.
