BSHS's Troupe presents... Beauty and the Beast

Ballston Spa High School's Troupe is proud to present their production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all the songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, with new songs by Tim Rice. This beloved tale is a timeless masterpiece that has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide and is great for all ages. Featuring over 80 high school students on the stage, behind the scenes, and in the orchestra pit; together, the entire production company has poured their time, energy, and talent into creating a magical "tale as old as time" experience for the audience.

The High School Robotics team recently competed in the Finger Lakes FIRST Regional Robotics Tournament and earned the Creativity Award for their unique software design. Now onto the NY Tech Valley FIRST Regional Competition on March 21st-22nd at the MPV Arena in Albany. Good luck to all!

A group of our HS science teachers and students took a trip to Yucatan over February break to explore the region, investigate the environment, and engage in some real world learning! They saw a salt mine, swam in a cenote, spotted flamingos, and saw the Mayan ruins. What a great experience for these students!

World Language Students Present Lip Sync Contest at BSHS

Ballston Spa High School World Language students recently gave an amazing Lip Sync concert of eleven French and Spanish songs.  Over 150 International Baccalaureate and UHS/CHS juniors and seniors presented an array of musical performances. Some students performed on stage while others provided support backstage in various roles.

Join Ballston Spa High School teachers Mrs. Hansen, Mr. & Mrs. Balet, and Mrs. Meuwissen on an ecological and cultural exploration trip to the Yucatan!

Ballston Spa High School teachers Mrs. Hansen, Mr. & Mrs. Balet, and Mrs. Meuwissen will be chaperoning an ecological and cultural exploration trip to the Yucatan for Ballston Spa 9-12th grade students during this February 2024 winter break (2/15 – 2/22).  Over 20 students are already enrolled and space is limited with a handful of spots remaining.

AP Exam Fall 2023 Information

Students enrolled in one or more AP classes this year will take an AP Exam in May 2024 to qualify for college credit.  As AP students and parents, there are several things you need to know, and a couple of things you have to do to be prepared on the first day of school.  Don’t worry – this should take less than 10 minutes!  I do encourage you to keep a copy of this email for future reference.

BSTA Presents 2023 Scholarships

This year, the Ballston Spa Teachers’ Association (BSTA) is proud to award $5,500 in scholarships to five graduating seniors in two categories.
