What do Clean Tech ECHS mentors do?
Clean Tech ECHS mentors participate in project-based mentoring with students and provide industry perspective, feedback and guidance as students develop solutions for real-world problems. The Clean Tech ECHS team will provide mentors with an overview of the project and key takeaways. Mentors also work with students on developing professional skills related to communication, collaboration, character, and creativity. Students showcase projects they worked on with mentors at Student Project Exhibitions.

    What is the time commitment?
Mentoring opportunities occur in a roundtable format on a monthly basis when 9th and 10th grade students are at the TEC-SMART facility. Each mentoring session is typically about an hour long. We encourage mentors to attend as many mentoring sessions as possible.

    Who can mentor?
We welcome business professionals from all industries to provide various perspectives and insight. You do not need to have advanced technical skills or teaching experience to mentor.

How do I become a mentor?
You can become a Clean Tech ECHS mentor at any point during the school year. If you are a business professional or company interested in preparing youth for college and career, please contact Adrienne Snow at asnow@bscsd.org.

Current and prospective mentors are invited to join us for upcoming mentoring and event dates: (TBA)
*All mentoring sessions begin at 8:45AM*
